Confirmed: smoothie bowls are the prettiest things in the world (almost too pretty to eat)!
No wonder Instagram is filled with pictures of them.
Some foods, no matter what, always look photogenic. Smoothie bowls are one of them (also macarons + lattes!). We can’t seem to help but take multiple photos of them at different angles because they just look so damn good.
Açai bowls are quite popular these days but seeing as açai berries are a tad expensive, I combined two of my favourite fruits that are currently in season -strawberries and mango. Smoothie bowls are such a no-brainer because all you have to do is make a slightly thicker version of your favourite smoothie (more yogurt, less milk + lots of frozen fruit), then pour it into a bowl and top it with whatever you like!
Strawberry Mango Smoothie Bowl
1/2 cup of frozen strawberries
1/2 a mango
1/2 cup of Greek yogurt
1/4 cup of milk (any kind)
1/2 tbsp of shredded coconut
1/4 tsp of vanilla
Toppings: Sliced strawberries + bananas, granola, chia seeds, shredded coconut, or anything else you like
1. Blend smoothie ingredients until creamy. Pour into a bowl.
2. Garnish with your favourite toppings and enjoy!
Tip: If you want to arrange the toppings to look pretty, make sure the consistency of the smoothie is thick enough, otherwise your toppings might sink to the bottom.
